SAFETY FIRST
More than a slogan, our CIRCLE 4
SAFETY program is essential to our culture and, along
with our commitment to Peak Performance, is responsible for growing
our valued, long-term customer relationships.
Our unyielding commitment to safety has
received extensive recognition, including awards from the Distribution
Contractors Association, Pipe Line Contractors Association, National
Utility Contractors Association, Mechanical Contractors Association
of America, Texas Safety Association, and Liberty Mutual Insurance
Company.
THE ENVIRONMENT
We are committed to performing
our work with the highest regard for environmental and archeological
standards and requirements. From the planning stages through
verifying route alterations throughout the project, we are proactive
in our approach.
A STEADY, EXPERIENCED HAND
AT THE CONTROLS
We have been actively
involved with directional drilling technology for many years,
having successfully completed over 100 crossings involving virtually
every formation and working condition. Our small equipment is
nimble enough to handle congested urban conditions such as a 35,000
ft. two-inch gas line project consisting of 85% directional bore.
Our customers benefit from world class technical expertise and
the savvy, professional approach we bring to our relationships
with safety, environmental, and administrative agencies.
THE RESOURCES TO SUCCEED IN ANY SETTING
Our true nationwide presence means efficiency, uniformity
of standards, and value for our customers. About 300 Henkels
& McCoy specialists are involved in drilling operations nationwide.
These experts are equipped with a full range of small and medium
sized drills up to our 500,000 lb. rig.
We are experienced in the installation
of large diameter pipe, fiber optic or electrical cable, having
successfully negotiated crossings of rivers, streams, limited
rights-of-way, and solid rock.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS
We are proud members of the Distribution Contractors Association, Pipe Line Contractors
Association, and National Utility Contractors Association.

FYI
One recent project required
a 2,500 ft. crossing under the Roanoke River and involved solid
black granite from surface to surface, crossing a deep gorge.
The 120,000 lb. rig was launched from a high bluff on one side
and exited on a similar bluff on a restricted corridor with congested
utilities. Achieving 160 ft. of drilling per day, the project
was successfully completed on time and on budget within six weeks.
Another project involved
a 3,000 ft. directional bore 50 ft. below the solid rock bed
of Oregon's Willamette River. The challenging nature of this
double-S curve required drilling in two directions through an
environmentally protected area.
Using the 500,000 lb.
Big Rig, we recently completed a successful 5,200 ft. horizontal
drill to a depth of 100 ft. in an environmentally sensitive area
at Newark Bay. The project was especially challenging as it involved
installing fiber optic cable between existing fiber and power
utilities. With crews working 24-hour shifts throughout the project,
the job was completed on time and on budget in 45 days.
